As another year comes to an end, new changes are also on the way. As you probably know already, Joomla 3.0 was released in Sep 2012 as a development release. While no one is expected to upgrade to Joomla 3.0 if you are already on 2.5, we decided to make things easier for the new users who would want to go for Joomla 3.0 straightaway.

Kulendra.Net have been in the web business for nearly seven years now. We started off by taking up outsourced web design/development work from international clients. When time permitted, we also took up various projects which dealt specifically with extension development in Joomla and Wordpress. Sometime after we moved completely in to a product development company. And the best reward we could get is not just the money ;)

Open Source Matters, the organisation behind Joomla! released the version 2.5.0 of Joomla 10 days back. The new release cycle introduced by OSM last year caused much discussion among the open source community and well to be quite frank, the new 2.5.0 has added more fuel to the "discussions". But it is not as bad as it looks. No really, it is not bad at all.

Usually the new year's eve is a place for new resolutions and new hopes. In that light, we are quite happy and proud that we actually managed to kick off the new year with a realised resolution, a whole new product and quite a good one as we think of it; We are quite proud to announce the first product for the year of 2012 by Kulendra.Net, kBanners4SobiPro, the ultimate banner manager for SobiPro.

Open Source Matters (the organization behind Joomla! CMS) announced early this year that Joomla 1.6 was going to be out this year and we got the first stable release somewhere around Jan 2011. Everything as per the plan. But what did come as a surprise was that OSM was releasing Joomla 1.7 within the year as well. And then a Joomla 1.8 later. Later but not very late.
