SnowLife

snowlife.com.au was originally built as a PHP/MySQL website with custom coding. The site functioned well for a long time enabling Snowlife to establish its online presence as the website for Australian snow news. However, modifying the website and expanding it's functionality to provide users with new experience was getting difficult with time as it does with all custom coded websites.

Owners of Snowlife were already familiar with content management systems through other enterprises they were involved in and were willing to go ahead with a suitable CMS for Snowlife. The site used to host a number of pages which consisted of guides, news items, blog and a weather report page which had a live feed of over a dozen ski resorts in Australia. Their only worry was whether a CMS could provide all those functionality and also be simple enough to manage.

Once we started the discussions with Snowlife, the unanimous choice of CMS was Wordpress. It's a CMS that is simple enough to manage and also provides the flexibility of styling each of the pages separately if need be. From the time we and Snowlife first made contact, it took us only a little more than a month to deliver the entire website. And Snowlife continues to attract all skiing and snowboarding fans from all over Aussie.
